Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Hendrix (ranked 1114 p4p, 1206 weight class) and Xon HiChi (ranked 158 p4p, 168 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendrix ducks under a wild hook from HiChi.
Hendrix throws an off balance right hand
and HiChi counters with a nice uppercut.
Hendrix darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
HiChi looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Hendrix lands with a right hand.

It looks like Xon HiChi has been cut.
HiChi takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
HiChi moves out of range as Hendrix strikes.
Hendrix ducks under a wild hook from HiChi.
Hendrix misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
HiChi needs to keep his hands up - Hendrix had a free shot at his head there.
Hendrix stalks HiChi and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into HiChi's face. HiChi staggers backwards, shaken.
Brandon Hendrix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
HiChi swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Hendrix catches HiChi napping and connects with a big right hand that sends HiChi to the canvas!

HiChi is rocked!

HiChi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hendrix.
HiChi seems to have recovered his senses.

Hendrix connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt HiChi! He's out on his feet! Hendrix rushes in and drops HiChi with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
