Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Owens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Owens is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Disturbed- Inside the Fire. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owens looks to throw the jab but Johnson is out of range.
Owens misses with a head kick.
Owens checks a low kick from Johnson.
Johnson tries to clinch up.
Johnson fails to land the takedown.
Owens throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Owens throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Owens moves into the clinch successfully.

Owens has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Johnson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Owens lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Owens is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Johnson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Johnson!

Owens throws a nice looking combination but Johnson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Owens swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Owens tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Johnson dodges the punch combination from Owens.
Owens misses with the combination.

Owens lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Owens fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Johnson avoids it really well and circles away.

Owens shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Johnson's guard.

Johnson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Owens defends well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Owens wants to pass the guard but Johnson is defending well.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Owens lands a nice short elbow.

Owens wants to finish this one by submission but Johnson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Owens.
