PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Davis Gill (ranked 6136 p4p, 3397 weight class) and Msujfnaud Mspomfad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gill comes to the cage accompanied by White Room. Davis Gill looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Msujfnaud Mspomfad!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gill throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mspomfad tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gill is in Mspomfad's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Gill looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Mspomfad has control of Gill's left arm, preventing Gill from doing any damage.
Gill trying to control the position from guard on top but Mspomfad is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gill has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Mspomfad bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gill's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mspomfad postures up and lands a big shot to Gill's brow.
Mspomfad is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Mspomfad is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Mspomfad passes into half guard.
Well, if Mspomfad is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Gill is looking to improve his position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mspomfad lands a nice short elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mspomfad slips a nice elbow through Gill's hands, connecting with Gill's forehead.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mspomfad in particular looking to stall.
Mspomfad has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Mspomfad's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Gill knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mspomfad on the ground.
Gill is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mspomfad scores with a couple of nice shots.
Gill looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Mspomfad takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mspomfad is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Gill is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mspomfad lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Gill quite badly. Gill pulls Mspomfad in close trying to recover. Mspomfad postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Gill on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Gill doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
