Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jim Babcock (ranked 2814 p4p, 3144 weight class) and Desu Inhanamoto (ranked 349 p4p, 389 weight class). Babcock comes to the cage accompanied by The Way I Am feat. Marilyn Manson. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jim Babcock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Desu Inhanamoto!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inhanamoto dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Babcock misses with a low kick.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Inhanamoto! But no joy.
Babcock throws a right hand that misses
and Inhanamoto counters with a nice low kick that buckles Babcock's knee momentarily.
Inhanamoto thumps Babcock with a low kick.
Good work by Inhanamoto as he checks the leg kick.

Babcock moves into the clinch successfully.
A nice left hand lands by Inhanamoto.

Babcock turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Inhanamoto felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Inhanamoto really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Babcock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Inhanamoto is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Babcock with a body shot.

Desu Inhanamoto seems to be getting the better of the standup.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

No joy there for Babcock, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Babcock throws a left and a right that both miss
and Babcock takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Inhanamoto counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Babcock takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Babcock tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Inhanamoto manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Desu Inhanamoto showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
