Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Franklin (ranked 2288 p4p, 24915 weight class) and Rustam Kadurov (ranked 286 p4p, 589 weight class). The key to victory for Bruce Franklin has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franklin lands a nice shot to the body.

Kadurov throws a shot from downtown. Franklin moves away and avoids it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Franklin shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

and Franklin counters with a nice uppercut.

Franklin is rocked!

It looks like Bruce Franklin has been cut.

Kadurov is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Franklin is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Franklin flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Kadurov anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Franklin and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Kadurov slips an arm under Franklin chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Kadurov has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Kadurov is squeezing on Franklin like an anaconda would it's prey. Franklin fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Rustam Kadurov!
In his post fight interview, Rustam Kadurov started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
