Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mac Womack (ranked 4470 p4p, 5719 weight class) and James Rocksteady (ranked 525 p4p, 581 weight class). Rocksteady has chosen Red Right Hand as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mac Womack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, James Rocksteady!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocksteady ducks under a wild hook from Womack.
Rocksteady drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Womack defends it well.
Rocksteady shoots in for a takedown but Womack shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Womack has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Roosters Coop in the buildup to the fight.
Womack misses with a wild combination.
Rocksteady changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Womack falls off balance throwing a combination

and Rocksteady counters with a shoot takedown. Womack fights it but they end up in guard.
Rocksteady stopping the sweep attempt from Womack.
Womack wants to control the position but Rocksteady says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Womack manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Womack is on top in guard.


Rocksteady is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Womack defends well.
Rocksteady is pulling down on Womack's head. It's preventing any offense from Womack, at least for the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Rocksteady is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Womack has his hands clasped together but Rocksteady extends and breaks Womack's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Rocksteady.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). James Rocksteady!
A relieved looking James Rocksteady thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
