Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dumuzid Milani (ranked 1650 p4p, 2715 weight class) and Philip Marcus (ranked 186 p4p, 277 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dumuzid Milani!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Philip Marcus!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Milani throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Marcus counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Marcus looks to land a right hand but Milani moved out of range.
Marcus is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Milani.
Marcus looks to throw the jab but Milani is out of range.
Milani throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Milani defending well as Marcus loads up on a big left hand.
Marcus lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Milani getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Milani walks into a straight right hand from Marcus.
Milani misses with an uppercut.
Marcus looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Marcus bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
An inside leg kick lands from Marcus.
Milani lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Dumuzid Milani seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Milani lunges at Marcus with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Marcus's hand.

Marcus throws a solid leg kick but Milani takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Marcus.
Marcus throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Marcus throws a sloppy head kick and Milani moves out of range easily.
Milani uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Marcus.
Marcus is looking to chop away at Milani's legs.
It looked like Milani wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Milani scores with a decent looking hook.
Milani throws a looping overhand right but Marcus ducks down to avoid it.
Milani does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Marcus swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Milani looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
The crowd cheers as Milani lands an impressive looking overhand right. Marcus doesn't seem phased though.
Marcus ducks right into an uppercut from Milani.

Marcus rushes Milani and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Marcus lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Milani backwards.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Milani swings wildly with an uppercut but Marcus uses good head movement to avoid it.

Marcus swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Marcus misses with a hook from the clinch.

Milani breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A jab from Milani finds it's way through Marcus's defenses.
Milani really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

and Milani counters with a right hand to the body.
Milani is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Marcus drives through and clinches with Milani against the cage.
Marcus throws a punch but it's blocked by Milani.
Milani lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Milani wants to break the clinch but can't.
Marcus lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Milani backwards.
Milani is looking to break free of the clinch but Marcus has double underhooks.
Marcus is trying to maintain a safe position but Milani gets an underhook and turns Marcus into the cage.

Milani escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Milani listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
A slow jab from Marcus misses its intended target.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Marcus throws out a loose jab but Milani uses good head movement to avoid it.
Marcus throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Milani stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Marcus throws a shot from downtown. Milani moves away and avoids it.
Milani throws a body shot but no joy.
Milani lands the left hand.
Marcus slips under a jab.
Milani slips under a jab from Marcus.
Milani throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Marcus sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A slow jab from Milani misses its intended target.
Milani ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Marcus moves away.
Milani throws a lazy right hand but Marcus sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Milani cracks Marcus with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Milani misses with a wild body shot.
Marcus displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Milani throws out the jab.

Marcus instigates a clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Marcus escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Marcus misses with a head kick.
Milani swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Milani throws a shot from downtown. Marcus moves away and avoids it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Milani throws a jab but it's blocked by Marcus.
Despite the aggression on Marcus's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Milani throws a good cross that connects.
Milani digs a good body shot into Marcus's ribs.
Marcus tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Milani is looking to counter punch.
Marcus misses with an uppercut.
Milani slips under a jab.
Milani throws a big shot that misses.
Marcus on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Marcus connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Milani wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Marcus drives through and clinches with Milani against the cage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dumuzid Milani will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Milani throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Marcus on the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Milani gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Marcus missing with a left hand there. Milani was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Marcus bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Marcus is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

Milani throws a hook but Marcus avoids it easily.
Milani cracks a nice hook into Marcus's ribs.

Milani tried to counter with a leg kick but Marcus avoided it.
Milani connects with a good right hand that stumbles Marcus. Marcus circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Marcus throws a sloppy head kick and Milani moves out of range easily.

Marcus misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Marcus takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Milani cracks Marcus with a right hand to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Marcus misses with a hook to the ribs.
Marcus has a couple of punches blocked by Milani.
Marcus softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Milani has had enough of the clinch but Marcus keeps him there for the moment.

Milani pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Milani moves away from the strike by Marcus.
Milani takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Milani fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Marcus on the side of the head.
Milani moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Milani is rocked!
Marcus displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Milani throws out the jab.
A little jabbing left from Marcus on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Oh Milani is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Milani is looking to score with low kicks.
Marcus cracks Milani with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Milani tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Marcus pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Milani is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Philip Marcus!
A relieved looking Philip Marcus thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
