Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Gracie (ranked 5215 p4p, 3534 weight class) and Jaimie Hopson (ranked 570 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Hopson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gracie eats them both and turns towards Hopson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Hopson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Gracie looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Gracie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hopson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gracie, into his guard.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hopson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gracie has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Hopson should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Gracie has tightened it up now! Hopson should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
