Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Glen Kamara (ranked 4341 p4p, 24948 weight class) and Yawa Kiang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yawa Kiang has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Glen Kamara's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Glen Kamara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yawa Kiang!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kiang gets tackled into the cage by Kamara. Kamara maintains the clinch.
Kamara is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Kiang is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Kamara is defending well.
Kiang is trying to break free.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kamara lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Kamara looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kamara is pressing down on Kiang's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kiang is holding on for now.
Kiang trying to control here.

Kamara is working for a submission of some sort.

Kamara looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kamara is trying to control. Kiang wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Kamara throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Kamara is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kiang has managed to free his arm - good work.
Kamara is keen to just control but Kiang is a slippery customer.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Kamara tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kiang throws a sloppy head kick and Kamara moves out of range easily.
Kiang circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kiang replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Kamara blocks it well.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Kamara manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Kiang has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kamara is trying to keep an underhook but Kiang manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Kiang prevents Kamara from improving his position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Glen Kamara dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.


Kiang gets caught flat footed, as Kamara shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kiang is pulling down on Kamara's head to control his posture.
Kamara keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kiang's head.

Glen Kamara overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kamara seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kiang for as long as he can get away with.

Kamara wants to get up but he can't break Kiang's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Kamara lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Kamara is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kiang is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kiang has escaped and now he's on top!

Kamara controls Kiang momentarily but Kiang frees himself.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kamara is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kiang's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kiang's back!
A lull in the action here.

Kamara goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Kiang escapes and is now in half guard on top.
Kiang seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kamara does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Kamara is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kiang content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kamara is looking for a sweep. Kiang is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Glen Kamara dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Kamara changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kiang looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Kamara is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kiang is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Kamara is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kiang has escaped the position, nice work there.
Kamara is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kiang can do to turn this around?
Kiang can't do much from the bottom here.

Kamara goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Kiang rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Kamara's guard! Nice work there by Kiang!

Kamara throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Kiang escapes and throws Kamara's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kamara tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kiang wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Kamara wants to control but Kiang postures up.
Kamara is trying to improve his position.
Kamara regains half guard.
Kamara is looking to improve his position.

Kamara looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Kamara wants to control but Kiang is keeping busy.
Kamara tries to get to full guard but Kiang has control of the leg.

Kiang moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Kamara.
Kiang staying calm.
Kamara is looking to regain half guard here but Kiang keeps moving and retains side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Yawa Kiang has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kamara wants to control but Kiang postures up.
Kamara is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kiang's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

I would just about give that final round to Yawa Kiang.
I think Kamara has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Glen Kamara tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
