The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tapperfield tries to clinch up.
Kcotsber throws a big counter combination but Tapperfield scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Kcotsber is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tapperfield is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tapperfield has escaped and now he's on top!

Tapperfield throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
As Tapperfield tries to get set, Kcotsber tries to push him back and clinch up but Tapperfield manages to avoid the attempt.
Kcotsber throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Tapperfield dives in and grabs Kcotsber's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kcotsber pushes down on Tapperfield's head and hops out.

Kcotsber tries to keep at a distance but Tapperfield has taken the fight into the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Tapperfield scores with a nice short uppercut.

Tapperfield shoots in for a takedown but Kcotsber shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Kcotsber shoots in looking for a takedown. Tapperfield tries to sprawl out of it but Kcotsber keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tapperfield manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kcotsber shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tapperfield's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kcotsber stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tapperfield swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Tapperfield takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
