Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Muay Plata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Rios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Plata might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Creeping Death. Rios has chosen Their Law as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Rios with that takedown attempt.
Rios moves out of range of the body kick.
Plata wants to clinch up but Rios keeps it at a distance.
Plata throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Plata looks to score with a jab to the body but Rios is just out of range.

Rios jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Plata walks away with a smile on his face. Rios gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Plata throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Plata misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rios tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Plata swivels and escapes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
