Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Naoki Fujii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Madmen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Naoki Fujii has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Naoki Fujii!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Tony Madmen!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madmen misses with a double jab.
Fujii swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Fujii shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Madmen defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Fujii.
Madmen tries to hold on but Fujii pushes him away.
Fujii fails to move to back control.
Fujii sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Madmen can't escape the position.

Fujii looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Fujii prevents Madmen from getting the reversal.

Fujii has hold of Madmen's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Madmen manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Madmen is in all sorts of trouble here.

Fujii wants to control the pace but Madmen is squirming around nicely.

Fujii is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Madmen has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Madmen is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Fujii is landing with some decent strikes but Madmen is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Madmen is squirming around, avoiding Fujii's attempts to control the action.

Fujii trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Fujii landing punches.
Madmen regains half guard.
Madmen wants to improve his position but Fujii is controlling well.
Fujii wants to take a breather but Madmen is having none of it.

Fujii passes to side control.
Madmen prevents Fujii from moving into mount.

Fujii tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fujii has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Madmen is looking for a sweep.
Madmen is not content to let Fujii control the position.
Madmen is trying to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Fujii is looking to take a break and control but Madmen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Madmen gets a takedown into half guard.
Madmen working Fujii over with strikes.
Fujii moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Fujii wants to sweep but no luck.

Fujii has his foot on Madmen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Madmen works his way back into a safe position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Naoki Fujii dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Fujii on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Fujii tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Madmen paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Madmen misses with a takedown attempt

and Fujii counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Madmen!

Fujii working for a submission but Madmen is keeping him at bay.
Fujii moves to the back position.
Madmen looking very determined here, making life difficult for Fujii.

Naoki Fujii overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Madmen wants to get back to his feet.

Fujii is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Madmen knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Madmen for a finish.
Madmen breaks Fujii's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Madmen trying to control the position from guard on top but Fujii is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Madmen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Madmen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Fujii controls Madmen momentarily but Madmen frees himself.
Madmen wants to control from the top but Fujii keeps moving.

Fujii is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Madmen rolls with it to try and escape but Fujii cranks on the arm and Madmen is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
