PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Baltaretu (ranked 4484 p4p, 3171 weight class) and Mohammed Ballo (ranked 537 p4p, 414 weight class). Baltaretu's entrance music is Roy Jones Jr. - Can't Be Touched. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Ballo. Beautiful body shot.
Ballo just misses with a punch to the body.

Baltaretu feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Ballo has momentary wrist control but Baltaretu slips an elbow through the middle.
Baltaretu lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Baltaretu gets to his feet and stands over Ballo, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Ballo felt that one! Baltaretu unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Ballo from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andrei Baltaretu!
Andrei Baltaretu decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
Mohammed Ballo spoke after the fight, saying 'It was not a good performance, but I will be back stronger soon!'.
