The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Black!
It looks like Beni Nikaido has been cut.
Black catches Nikaido with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Nikaido tries to land a front kick but Black steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Black fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nikaido looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Black tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nikaido was well out of range. Poor timing from Black.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Black lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Nikaido can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Black and Nikaido drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Black.
