Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Janos Robsteck!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robsteck misses with an attempted mid kick.
Standifer is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Robsteck.
Robsteck is looking to clinch.
Standifer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Robsteck dives in for a single leg takedown but Standifer sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Standifer looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

and Standifer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Finlay Standifer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Janos Robsteck.
Standifer lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Robsteck or not.
Robsteck throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Standifer blocks it with crossed arms.
Robsteck should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Standifer.
Robsteck wants to take the fight to the mat but Standifer manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Standifer is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Robsteck has Standifer pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Standifer manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Standifer is leaning against Robsteck and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Standifer manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Robsteck working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Robsteck misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Standifer gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Standifer holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Robsteck is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Standifer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Robsteck's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Robsteck's back!

Robsteck is trying to defend against the choke here but Standifer has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Standifer Tightens the hold and Robsteck taps out furiously! Standifer displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
