The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
prevost showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Carter.

Carter shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in prevost's guard.

prevost is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Carter is aware though and is defending well.
prevost trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carter got a little sloppy there for a moment and prevost has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Carter has managed to get both his arms back between prevost's legs - danger averted.

prevost has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Carter doesn't defend quickly enough and prevost has managed to lock this one up! Can Carter escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to prevost on a fantastic submission victory.
