Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abdullah Zaire (ranked 1643 p4p, 1898 weight class) and Ricardo Da Silva Jr (ranked 237 p4p, 275 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Abdullah Zaire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ricardo Da Silva Jr!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Silva Jr tries to clinch but Zaire moves out of range.
Da Silva Jr looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Da Silva Jr, as that shot connected.
Da Silva Jr has Zaire up against the cage in a clinch.
Da Silva Jr stalls.
Zaire swings wildly with an uppercut but Da Silva Jr uses good head movement to avoid it.

I was talking to Zaire's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Da Silva Jr struggles to land a body shot inside as Zaire controls his hands.

Da Silva Jr throws a punch but it's blocked by Zaire.

Zaire has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Da Silva Jr after a bit of a struggle.

Zaire throws an elbow but it misses.

Da Silva Jr stops a takedown attempt from Zaire.
Da Silva Jr tries to work over Zaire's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Zaire tries to pull guard but Da Silva Jr holds him up against the cage and eventually Zaire drops back down to his feet.

Da Silva Jr wants to control from the top but Zaire keeps moving.
Zaire bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Da Silva Jr's guard.
Da Silva Jr wants to sweep but no luck.
Zaire drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Zaire jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Da Silva Jr tries to roll over but Zaire keeps him under control.
Zaire looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Da Silva Jr with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Da Silva Jr is trying to stand up here but Zaire is controlling him well.
Zaire looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Zaire lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Da Silva Jr quite badly. Da Silva Jr pulls Zaire in close trying to recover. Zaire postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Da Silva Jr on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Da Silva Jr doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Abdullah Zaire!
An out of breath Abdullah Zaire thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
