PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Epolito (ranked 161 p4p, 893 weight class) and Remi Chavaski (ranked 30 p4p, 128 weight class). Epolito comes into the arena with Rowdy/ Bandits blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Anthony Epolito!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Remi Chavaski!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavaski shoots for a takedown but Epolito saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Epolito works the jab nicely.

Epolito bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Epolito throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Chavaski on the side of the head.
It looks like Epolito has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Chavaski's coach down at Blaze Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Chavaski's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Chavaski drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chavaski jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Chavaski postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Epolito is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Chavaski, into his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Anthony Epolito is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Epolito, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
