Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Jones (ranked 2151 p4p, 1795 weight class) and Bean Bryant (ranked 279 p4p, 242 weight class). Bean Bryant looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bean Bryant !
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones lands with an uppercut that bounces Bryant off the cage and back into range.
Bryant tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bryant 's coach down at Besta-Fera Training Center was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bryant 's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

We've been hearing good reports from Jones's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bryant is in all sorts of trouble here.

Jones has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Jones's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
