PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kado Seyama (ranked 3212 p4p, 3569 weight class) and Mark Beneke (ranked 412 p4p, 450 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mark Beneke was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Kado Seyama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Beneke!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beneke takes a swing at Seyama's ribcage but misses.
It appears Seyama was looking to counter with a kick there.

Beneke scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Seyama doesn't seem bothered though.
Seyama takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Beneke thuds his right hand into Seyama's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Seyama has been working on his balance at Gym Goroshi London, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Beneke.
Beneke is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Seyama had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
