The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Farmer throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wright was covering up waiting for the punch and Farmer finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Farmer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Farmer in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Farmer looking to sit in guard and control but Wright gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Wright slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Farmer tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wright wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Wright has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wright closes this distance looking for a takedown but Farmer circles away.
Nick Wright seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Farmer is looking to stand up but Wright won't let him.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wright is on top in guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wright passes Farmer 's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Wright is trying to work for a kimura but Farmer is defending well.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Wright is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Farmer has managed to free his arm - good work.
Wright working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Farmer is looking for a sweep. Wright is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Wright is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wright maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Farmer could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Wright has cracked it and Farmer is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Wright!
