Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Read (ranked 2830 p4p, 4498 weight class) and Magomed Omarov (ranked 366 p4p, 524 weight class). Read comes into the arena with Fight Music blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Read misses with a takedown attempt

Read has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Read is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Omarov has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Read has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Omarov has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Read really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
