Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Leal (ranked 1735 p4p, 1144 weight class) and Danny Brook (ranked 231 p4p, 161 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nathan Leal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Danny Brook!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brook fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Leal, pushing him back against the cage.
Leal is pressed up against the cage. Brook has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Leal down to the mat. Leal avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Brook tries to close the distance and clinch but Leal swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Brook throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Leal was covering up waiting for the punch and Brook finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Leal keeping full guard, as Brook tries to pass.
Brook trying to control the position from guard on top but Leal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Leal on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Leal tries to get out of the position.
Brook looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brook trying to control but Leal is working from the bottom.
Leal knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brook on the ground.

Leal looking for a sweep. Not yet Leal, not yet.

Leal tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Brook throwing strikes from guard but Leal blocks nicely.
Leal will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Brook's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brook postures up in Leal's guard and throws a big left but Leal blocks it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Brook scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Brook stops Leal from getting back to his feet.
Brook trying to control the action but Leal is working from the bottom.
Brook thows a huge punch but Leal dodges it nicely.

Brook seems to be working for a kimura but Leal defends the submission attempt.
Leal is trying to get back to full guard.
Leal is trying to stand up here but Brook is controlling him well.

Brook throwing shots but Leal is blocking nicely.

Brook is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Leal doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Brook.
Brook seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Leal does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Brook is trying to work for a kimura but Leal is defending well.
Brook not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Leal keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Leal is not content to let Brook control the position.
Brook is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Leal is trying to control but can't.
Brook prevents Leal from improving his position.

Brook is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Leal is defending against the submission attempts here by Brook.
Leal is staying active underneath Brook, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

letting Leal counter with a right hand.

It looks like Danny Brook has been cut.

and Leal scores with a counter punch that sends Brook to the canvas! Leal smells blood - he's punishing Brook with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Brook has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nathan Leal!
