Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Euan Daxton (ranked 1697 p4p, 1812 weight class) and Milan Ponjevic (ranked 248 p4p, 265 weight class). Daxton comes to the cage accompanied by Mr Brightside. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Milan Ponjevic!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ponjevic fails to land the takedown.

Daxton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Daxton gets a clinch.
Ponjevic jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Daxton walks away with a smile on his face. Ponjevic gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ponjevic drives through with a takedown into Daxton's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Ponjevic has gone for a leg lock! Daxton slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ponjevic's guard.

Ponjevic has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Daxton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ponjevic lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Ponjevic drops back, looking for a kneebar! Daxton looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Daxton looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Daxton!
Ponjevic felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Daxton is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Ponjevic gets his way!
Daxton looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
