The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tijhoff misses with a hook
and Mibangon counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Tijhoff rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Mibangon counters with a body kick.
Tijhoff misses with a hook
and Mibangon counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Tijhoff has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Tijhoff misses with a left hand
and Mibangon counters with a nice body kick.
Tijhoff misses with an uppercut
and Mibangon makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Tijhoff really felt that one!
Tijhoff shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mibangon sprawls well. Mibangon wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tijhoff gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mibangon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tijhoff sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mibangon somewhat.

and Mibangon counters with a nice leg kick.

Mibangon drives through with a takedown into guard.

Tijhoff looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Tijhoff is looking for a triangle but Mibangon pushes his legs off easily.
Mibangon controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Mibangon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tijhoff on the ground.

Tijhoff is looking to cinch up a triangle. Mibangon throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Tijhoff's body to avoid the submission. Tijhoff has instead reached around Mibangon's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Tijhoff arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
