Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Do No Joy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stephen Rowley!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rowley walks into a left hand.
Rowley looks to score with a jab to the body but No Joy is just out of range.
No Joy scores with a push kick.
No Joy takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Rowley closes the distance and pushes No Joy back into the cage.
Rowley can't find room to land a body shot as No Joy controls the action.
Rowley blocks an uppercut.
No Joy throws a punch but it's blocked by Rowley.
Rowley tries to throw a body punch but No Joy avoids it by throwing Rowley back against the cage.
Rowley tries to work over No Joy's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
No Joy struggles to land a body shot inside as Rowley controls his hands.
No Joy tries to circle away but Rowley has him pinned against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rowley has a couple of punches blocked by No Joy.
Rowley is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
No Joy tries to work over Rowley's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Still in the clinch, Rowley scores with a nice short uppercut.
Rowley tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. No Joy smiles and moves away.
Rowley motions for No Joy to come forward. Rowley throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

and No Joy counters with a nice low kick that buckles Rowley's knee momentarily.
No Joy lands with an uppercut that bounces Rowley off the cage and back into range.
Rowley throws a lazy uppercut
and No Joy counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
No Joy throws a hook but Rowley blocks it.
As No Joy backs off Rowley throws a huge counter combo but No Joy manages to avoid it all.
Rowley takes a swing at No Joy's ribcage but misses.
Rowley swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Rowley rushes No Joy and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
No Joy is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Rowley is keeping busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

No Joy jumps guard and drags Rowley to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
No Joy keeping full guard, as Rowley tries to pass.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rowley trying to control the position from guard on top but No Joy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Rowley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. No Joy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rowley advances to half guard.
Rowley prevents No Joy from improving his position.
No Joy trying to hold on to Rowley's head to control him but Rowley postures up.

Rowley is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, No Joy has managed to free his arm - good work.
No Joy on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if No Joy tries to get out of the position.
Rowley tries to pass the half guard into mount. No Joy knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Rowley is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, No Joy has managed to free his arm - good work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The fighters are battling for position here. No Joy manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
No Joy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Rowley is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Rowley controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Stephen Rowley will probably get the nod.
That's time! No Joy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Rowley throws the left hand but No Joy avoids the punch easily.
Rowley fakes high and swings low for a body shot but No Joy manages to avoid it.
No Joy fires out a quick counter leg kick but Rowley just manages to avoid it.
Rowley tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but No Joy was well out of range. Poor timing from Rowley.
Rowley avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
No Joy will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
No Joy misses with a two punch combination.
No Joy throws a front kick aimed at Rowley's knee but Rowley avoids it well.
No Joy circles away from the clinch attempt
and No Joy counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rowley misses with a body shot.
No Joy looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Rowley swings and misses with a shot to the body
and No Joy cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Stephen Rowley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and No Joy counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

A decent looking body kick lands there for No Joy.
No Joy scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Rowley misses with a straight right.
Rowley has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from No Joy.

Rowley has taken the fight to the clinch.
No Joy makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Rowley lands a left hand that snaps the head of No Joy backwards.
Rowley misses with some punches.

Rowley manages to pull guard.
Rowley looking to control but No Joy passes into half guard.
Rowley trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

No Joy landing strikes, looking to finish!
Rowley tries to lock up and control but No Joy gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
No Joy is in the full mount, landing strikes.
No Joy lands a big shot there that rocks Rowley but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Rowley is desperately trying to improve his position but No Joy has a good base and remains in mount.
No Joy working the ground and pound effectively.
Rowley keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rowley regains half guard.
Rowley works his way to full guard. Good work.

No Joy distracts Rowley with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
No Joy works over Rowley with some ground and pound from guard.

Rowley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. No Joy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. No Joy manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

No Joy avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Do No Joy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
No Joy controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Rowley is adopting a defensive guard.
Rowley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rowley has his foot on No Joy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. No Joy works his way back into a safe position though.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Rowley throws the left hand but No Joy avoids the punch easily.

Rowley fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
No Joy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rowley.
Rowley ducks right into an uppercut from No Joy.

Rowley is rocked!
Rowley walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from No Joy! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Do No Joy!
A very excited looking Do No Joy made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
