PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sindicious Lightning (ranked 3362 p4p, 5160 weight class) and Saipam Muwaitang (ranked 455 p4p, 592 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lightning lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Lightning has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Muwaitang manages to break the clinch.
Muwaitang rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lightning moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Muwaitang might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Sloppy strikes from Muwaitang. Those never looked like landing.
Lightning cracks Muwaitang with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Muwaitang falls to his knees and Lightning doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
