The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chai digs a good body shot into Wright's ribs.
Wright tries to score a power double leg takedown but Chai sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wright somewhat.
We've been hearing reports that Wright has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Wright swings for the body but Chai moves out of range.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Chai has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

The referee is keeping an eye on Chai - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Chai creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Chai seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wright does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Chai postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Wright on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Wright doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
