Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Strong (ranked 5810 p4p, 5259 weight class) and Mark The Hammer (ranked 582 p4p, 566 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Strong might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sublime - 40oz to Freedom. Mark The Hammer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strong gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Strong pulls The Hammer into guard.
The Hammer in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

The Hammer is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The Hammer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Strong is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The Hammer passes Strong's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

The Hammer is working for a kimura but Strong is defending it quite comfortably.
Strong manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. The Hammer keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Strong wants to break the clinch but can't.
The Hammer gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The Hammer maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Strong could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but The Hammer has cracked it and Strong is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by The Hammer!
