The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Capellio keeps the fight on the outside.
Capellio counters with a body kick.
Stalinovich tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Capellio manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
As Stalinovich backs off Capellio throws a huge counter combo but Stalinovich manages to avoid it all.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Capellio.
Capellio slips under a jab from Stalinovich.
Capellio throws a wild body kick that Stalinovich sees coming a mile off.

I was talking to Stalinovich's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Capellio lands with a right to the head.

Stalinovich manages to break the clinch.
Stalinovich stalks Capellio and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Capellio's face. Capellio staggers backwards, shaken.

Capellio lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Capellio throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Stalinovich lands with an overhand left.
Stalinovich throws a series of punches but Capellio moves out of range.
Capellio avoids a punch combination nicely.
It seemed like Capellio was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
