Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between KJ Hoodwell (ranked 2323 p4p, 4755 weight class) and Kurou Nishiyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kurou Nishiyama will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksandr Martynov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoodwell throws a sloppy head kick and Nishiyama moves out of range easily.
Kurou Nishiyama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nishiyama swings away with a body shot that misses
and Hoodwell counters by moving into the clinch.
Hoodwell misses with a shot to the kidneys.

KJ Hoodwell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kurou Nishiyama.

and Hoodwell counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Nishiyama bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hoodwell's head.
Hoodwell rushes Nishiyama with punches - Nishiyama moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Nishiyama goes down! Hoodwell follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). KJ Hoodwell!
