Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steel Penn Jr (ranked 2941 p4p, 3654 weight class) and Cyrius Python (ranked 411 p4p, 487 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Steel Penn Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 33 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cyrius Python!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Python misses with a series of wild punches.
Python fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Penn Jr pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Penn Jr works over Python's head and body with a nice combination.

It looks like Cyrius Python has been cut.

Penn Jr has managed to clinch.

Penn Jr breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Penn Jr misses with a double jab

and Python decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Penn Jr's guard.

Penn Jr wants to get back to his feet but Python is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Penn Jr is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Python is controlling him.
Python tries to free his leg and advance position but Penn Jr is retaining full guard.
Penn Jr has momentary wrist control but Python slips an elbow through the middle.
Penn Jr tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Penn Jr is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Python drops back looking for a leg! Penn Jr is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Penn Jr manages to kick Python off! Python jumps back into Penn Jr's guard.

Penn Jr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Python on the ground.

Penn Jr is trying to stand up here but Python is controlling him well.
Python wants to lay and pray for a moment but Penn Jr keeps working.

Python is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Penn Jr is just riding it out for now. Python eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Penn Jr on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Penn Jr tries to get out of the position.
Python is keen to just control but Penn Jr is a slippery customer.

Python working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Python is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Penn Jr is just riding it out for now. Python eventually gives up the hold.

Python is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Penn Jr looks like he's trying to stand up.

Penn Jr tries to roll over but Python keeps him under control.
Penn Jr is trying to maintain the position but Python is very close to passing his half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Penn Jr's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Python takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Penn Jr looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Penn Jr's jab looks to have found its range, popping Python under the eye.
Penn Jr buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Python slips a jab and a cross from Penn Jr.
And Python tries to counter it with a takedown but Penn Jr pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Penn Jr slaps away a takedown attempt from Python, before circling back to the center of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Penn Jr tries to clinch there but Python circles away.
Python let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Python shoots in for a takedown but Penn Jr shows good takedown defense.
Python doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Penn Jr throws a nice looking combination but Python bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Steel Penn Jr is winning the standup battle so far.

Penn Jr darts in and clinches Python up against the cage.

Penn Jr lands a right hand that snaps the head of Python backwards.

Penn Jr escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Penn Jr is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Python can do to turn this around?
Penn Jr throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Python tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Penn Jr defends well and Python ends up having to push Penn Jr into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Steel Penn Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cyrius Python.

Penn Jr lands a nice looking body shot.
Python throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Penn Jr's waist but Penn Jr gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Python off to one side.
Python is breathing heavily.
Python shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Penn Jr sprawls well. Penn Jr wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Python gets slowly back to his feet.
Penn Jr lands a nice looking kick to the body. Python takes a step back to recover.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Python jumps guard but Penn Jr turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Penn Jr throws a leg kick which misses Python's front leg but catches the back leg as Python tries to avoid it.

Python tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Python shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Penn Jr but Penn Jr pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Penn Jr lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

That has opened up Cyrius Python's cut even more.
Penn Jr moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Penn Jr lands a jab.
Python misses with a takedown attempt - Penn Jr sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Python is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Penn Jr moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steel Penn Jr!

In defeat, Cyrius Python stepped up to the mic, saying 'well that was a hard fight and i ended on the wrong corner'.
