PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pietje De Keizer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Creed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Creed's choice of entrance music: It's my song. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pietje De Keizer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Victor Creed!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from De Keizer. No joy for Creed on that attempt.
Creed fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Creed blocks the body kick.
De Keizer throws a head kick but Creed moves out of range.
A chopping leg kick lands by Creed.
De Keizer connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
De Keizer misses with a head kick.
De Keizer throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
De Keizer swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A jab from De Keizer misses.
A low kick from De Keizer misses
and Creed counters with an outside leg kick.
De Keizer is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
De Keizer ducks straight into an uppercut from Creed and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - De Keizer maanges to regain guard straight away.


It looks like Pietje De Keizer has been cut.
Creed is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Creed passes De Keizer's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Creed looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Creed scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Creed looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Creed trying to control the action but De Keizer is working from the bottom.
Creed seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Creed wants to free his trapped foot but De Keizer is holding on for dear life with his legs.

De Keizer tries to kick Creed off in order to stand up. Creed Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
De Keizer is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Creed has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Creed looks up at the clock and then as De Keizer takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Creed smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Creed working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Check out the look on Creed's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Creed wants to control but De Keizer is keeping him busy.

Creed lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear De Keizer down.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Creed is looking to take a break and control but De Keizer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Creed creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Creed wants to lay and pray for a moment but De Keizer keeps working.
De Keizer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Creed on the ground.
De Keizer is letting Creed control him for a moment.
Creed throws an elbow but De Keizer slips to the side and avoids it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
De Keizer is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Creed wants to lay and pray for a moment but De Keizer keeps working.

Creed scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at De Keizer to see if he's OK.

Creed tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Creed has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
De Keizer takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Creed landing strikes.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Creed lands a nice forearm strike.
Creed tries to move to mount but De Keizer blocks the move with his legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Victor Creed dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Pietje De Keizer's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


A head kick by De Keizer misses

and Creed counters with a single leg into guard. De Keizer didn't expect that.
Creed cracks De Keizer with a solid left hand.
Creed makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Creed has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
De Keizer looking to control.
Creed working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Creed with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Creed loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
De Keizer wants to stand and escape but Creed is having none of it.
Victor Creed has got the better of the ground game so far.
Creed throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as De Keizer works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
De Keizer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if De Keizer tries to get out of the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
De Keizer wants to get back to his feet but Creed is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Creed connects with a couple of short punches.
De Keizer keeping moving, preventing Creed from controlling successfully.
Creed has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Creed checks the leg kick.
De Keizer throws a predictable looking body shot
and Creed counters with a stiff right hand.

Creed feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Creed's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Creed advances to half guard.
Creed wants to lay and pray for a moment but De Keizer keeps working.

Creed is working for a submission of some sort.

Creed is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Creed perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Creed stops De Keizer from getting back to his feet.
Creed looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Creed is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Creed takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Creed lands a nice short elbow.
Creed is pressing down on De Keizer's thigh, looking to free his foot. De Keizer is holding on for now.

Creed is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. De Keizer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Creed.
Creed trying to mount his opponent but De Keizer defends it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
De Keizer pushes Creed off looking to stand but Creed dives back in and keeps control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Victor Creed showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Creed fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches De Keizer on the side of the head.
De Keizer throws a leg kick that is checked

and Creed counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Creed.
Creed with a nice head shot there.
Creed pushes down on De Keizer's leg and manages to get into half guard.
De Keizer is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Creed scores with a couple of nice shots.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Creed winds up and cracks De Keizer with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Creed moves nicely into side control.
Creed scores with a couple of short elbows.
Creed has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Creed sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Creed looking to finish De Keizer with some ground and pound. This is bad for De Keizer!

Creed looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
De Keizer wants to control but Creed is having none of it.

Creed is landing with some decent strikes but De Keizer is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Creed cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Creed is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. De Keizer can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Creed swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Victor Creed!
