Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between David Cummings (ranked 2246 p4p, 3274 weight class) and Arthur Pugsley (ranked 230 p4p, 317 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Cummings!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Arthur Pugsley!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pugsley closes the distance and pushes Cummings back into the cage.

Cummings has picked Pugsley up - he's going for a ride! Cummings dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Cummings is working for a submission of some sort.
Cummings seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pugsley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Cummings will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Cummings is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Pugsley to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Pugsley shrugs it off.
Pugsley sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pugsley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cummings. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cummings stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pugsley swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cummings swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Pugsley is now in Cummings's guard. A big mistake from Cummings there, giving up the dominant position!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pugsley connects with a nice short shot to Cummings's temple.

Arthur Pugsley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
