Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johns is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Shoop.
Shoop throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Johns.
Johns misses with a low kick.
Johns throws a half hearted mid kick.
As Johns backs off Shoop throws a huge counter combo but Johns manages to avoid it all.
Johns fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Shoop is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Johns shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shoop sprawls well. Shoop wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Johns gets slowly back to his feet.
Johns misses with a head kick.
Shoop throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Johns is rocked!
Johns dives in and grabs Shoop's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shoop pushes down on Johns's head and hops out.
Oh Johns is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sammy Johns. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A combination from Shoop does no damage.

Johns closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Johns is working for takedown but Shoop is calmly controlling the position for now.

Johns changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Shoop fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Johns takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Maximus Shoop is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Johns throws a right and a left that both miss.
Shoop lands with a big left! Johns is wobbled badly! Shoop comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Johns to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
