Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Gracie (ranked 3968 p4p, 3719 weight class) and Derk Voorheis (ranked 501 p4p, 473 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anderson Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Derk Voorheis!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Voorheis closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gracie did well to prevent Voorheis getting side control.
Gracie tries to roll over but Voorheis keeps him under control.
Voorheis stalling.
Gracie has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Voorheis is working away from the top position though.
Gracie gets back to full guard.
Gracie is adopting a defensive guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie looking to control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Voorheis wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.

Gracie has his foot on Voorheis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Voorheis works his way back into a safe position though.
Voorheis loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Voorheis distracts Gracie with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Voorheis content to stall in guard here.
Gracie trying to control the position.
Voorheis postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Gracie working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Voorheis has passed into half guard!
Voorheis landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gracie wants to improve his position but Voorheis is controlling well.
Voorheis working over Gracie with some ground and pound. Gracie looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Voorheis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working.
Voorheis looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Gracie wants to control but Voorheis is keeping busy.
Gracie gets back to full guard.
Voorheis looking to pass the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Voorheis postures up.
Voorheis postures up and lands a big shot to Gracie's brow.
Voorheis looking to pass the guard.
Gracie trying to control the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gracie looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gracie looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch but Voorheis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Voorheis shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Voorheis prevents Gracie from improving his position.
Gracie moves into full guard.
Voorheis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Gracie is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Gracie looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Voorheis passes into side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Gracie gets back to half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Derk Voorheis dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Voorheis misses with a straight right.

Voorheis closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Gracie's guard.
Voorheis throwing strikes but missing.

Voorheis is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Gracie has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Voorheis is looking to defend but Gracie has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Voorheis! Gracie pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Voorheis taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Anderson Gracie!
