Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Minerva Wulf (ranked 857 p4p, 2350 weight class) and Chase Buchanan (ranked 49 p4p, 136 weight class). Wulf kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sanctus Dominus. Chase Buchanan has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Chase Buchanan!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wulf tries to bum rush Buchanan with a series of wild strikes but Buchanan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Buchanan misses with a takedown attempt - Wulf sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Buchanan felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Wulf is taking a breather. Buchanan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wulf connects with a nice short shot to Buchanan's temple.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Wulf has hold of Buchanan's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Buchanan manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wulf stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Buchanan shoots in but no luck this time.

I was talking to Wulf's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Wulf lands a left hand that snaps the head of Buchanan backwards.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Wulf creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Buchanan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wulf walks away with a smile on his face. Buchanan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
