Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Pato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabio Mello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mello will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pato moves forwards but Mello connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Pato will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Mello bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pato's guard.
