PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sean Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spikey Norman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sean Taylor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Spikey Norman!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor stuffs the takedown attempt from Norman. Norman gets slowly back to his feet.
Taylor throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Taylor missing with a left hand there. Norman was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Taylor misses with a few strikes there.
Taylor lands a glancing blow to the side of Norman's head.
Taylor slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

It looks like Spikey Norman has been cut.
Norman uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Taylor.
Taylor connects with the punch.
Norman needs to keep his hands up - Taylor had a free shot at his head there.
Taylor throws a chopping leg kick but Norman manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Norman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Taylor sprawls well initially but Norman persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Taylor is trying to stand.
Norman throwing shots but Taylor is blocking nicely.
Taylor is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Norman is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Taylor is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Spikey Norman!
