Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dan Gable!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rico Salvacion!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gable looking to score a takedown here. Salvacion is defending well but Gable drives through and ends up in Salvacion's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Gable controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Gable postures up in Salvacion's guard and throws a big left but Salvacion blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salvacion working a defensive guard but Gable passes into half guard.

Gable seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Salvacion trying to hold on to Gable's head to control him but Gable postures up.
Gable lands strikes from half guard.
Gable has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Salvacion defend it? Gable steps over the head and cranks it - Salvacion is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Gable!
