Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stone Freightrain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freightrain comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ride the Lightning kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Smith looks for a takedown but Freightrain sprawls well.
Smith waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Freightrain.
Freightrain throws a nice looking combination but Smith bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Smith scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Smith lands a glancing blow to the side of Freightrain's head.
Freightrain tries to clinch but Smith is having none of it.

The fight stays on the outside here - Freightrain looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A swing and a miss from Smith.
Freightrain thuds his shin into the meat of Smith's side.
Smith shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Freightrain drives through and clinches with Smith against the cage.
Smith jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Freightrain walks away with a smile on his face. Smith gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Freightrain throws a combination that misses
and Smith counters with a nice double leg into side control. Freightrain won't be happy with that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Freightrain can't do much from the bottom here.
Smith throws a strike aimed at the side of Freightrain's head but Freightrain avoids it well.
Smith tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Smith wants to control but Freightrain is keeping busy.
Freightrain seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Smith fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Smith throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Freightrain drops his hands momentarily and Smith takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Freightrain rushes Smith and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Freightrain lands with a left to the head.
Smith has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Freightrain uses from the top position.
Smith is trying to keep Freightrain in close.
Smith wants to sweep here but Freightrain controlling him for the moment.
Freightrain gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Smith throws a right and a left that both miss.
Freightrain clinches but Smith breaks the clinch
and Smith counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Smith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Freightrain's waist but Freightrain gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smith off to one side.

Freightrain clinches but Smith breaks the clinch
and Smith counters with a nice body shot.
Smith is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Freightrain's half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Freightrain displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Smith throws out the jab.

Smith feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Freightrain tries to clinch but Smith is having none of it.

Smith swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Smith throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

and Smith counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Smith is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Freightrain wants to improve his position but Smith is controlling well.

Freightrain is refusing to be controlled, as Smith sits in half guard.

Freightrain is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Smith has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Smith moves to take his opponent's back.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Freightrain is trying to stand back up.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Smith throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Freightrain on the side of the head.
A bone on bone clash there as Smith blocks the leg kick.
Smith scores with a jab. Freightrain acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Smith tries to score a power double leg takedown but Freightrain sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Smith somewhat.

Smith lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Smith shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Smith wants to work for an arm triangle but Freightrain is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Freightrain tries to kick Smith off but Smith keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Freightrain takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Smith not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Freightrain is trying to stand up here but Smith is controlling him well.
Smith is trying to control the action in half guard but Freightrain is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Smith thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Freightrain to regain full guard.

Smith slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Smith is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Freightrain's shoulder. That is not cool.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Smith advances to mount.
Smith misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Freightrain avoids a series of strikes thrown by Smith.
Smith can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Freightrain is looking to escape.
Freightrain is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Smith locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Freightrain is forced to tap!
