Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alco Holic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy Gregory!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Roberts and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holic is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gregory's half guard.
Gregory looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Holic pushes past his half guard into mount!
Holic content just to control the position here.
Holic's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Holic is going olschool here, as he tries to force Gregory to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gregory shrugs it off.

Gregory takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Holic takes a little break here. Gregory wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Gregory tries to keep at a distance but Holic has taken the fight into the clinch.
Holic blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Gregory misses with a jab, cross combination.

and Holic counters with a shoot takedown. Gregory fights it but they end up in guard.
Holic postures up in Gregory's guard and throws a big left but Gregory blocks it.
Gregory escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Holic gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Holic is breathing heavily.

Holic is trying to control. Gregory wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Gregory tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Holic presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Holic swings for the body but Gregory moves out of range.
Gregory throws a nice looking combination but Holic bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

A jab from Gregory does it's job there.
Gregory lands a jab-cross combination.
Holic feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Gregory swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Holic takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Gregory connects with a single shot there.
Gregory's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Gregory duly obliges.
Gregory throws a right and a left that Holic avoids nicely.
Nice takedown defense from Gregory. No joy for Holic on that attempt.
Gregory works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Holic throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gregory shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Holic defends it nicely.
Holic lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gregory circles away quickly and effectively.
Left hook, right uppercut from Gregory.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alco Holic dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Gregory misses with the combination.
Holic changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gregory looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

You can see the frustration on Gregory's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Even with his hooks in, Holic manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Holic has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Gregory's body.
Holic throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Gregory!

Gregory has gone for a leg lock! Holic slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gregory's guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Holic, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
