And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinya Sakurai!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakurai misses with a left hand
and Takaida connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Takaida lands a nice looking body shot.
Sakurai throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Takaida slips a jab from Sakurai.
A jab from Takaida finds it's way through Sakurai's defenses.

It looks like Shinya Sakurai has been cut.
Takaida bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Takaida lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Takaida staying out of range there.
Sakurai thows a leg kick but Takaida checks it
and Takaida cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sakurai rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Takaida to counter with a crisp jab.

Sakurai is rocked!
Takaida walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Sakurai drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Takaida swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Sakurai's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shinji Takaida!
