Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Clarke (ranked 1930 p4p, 4618 weight class) and Billy Jones (ranked 243 p4p, 466 weight class). Jones has chosen Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple Man as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Clarke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy Jones!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones wants to clinch up but Clarke keeps it at a distance.
Clarke feinted with a counter takedown.
Clarke defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones.
A head kick misses from Jones.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Clarke paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jones moves into range and clinches up with Clarke.
Jones decides to pull guard.
Clarke landing some decent shots from guard.
Clarke with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Clarke makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Clarke postures up in Jones's guard and throws a big left but Jones blocks it.
Clarke postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Clarke stands and throws Jones's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Clarke takes a little break here. Jones wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Clarke cracks Jones with a big right hand but Jones just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Jones is rocked!
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Clarke. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jones looks winded!
A big shot lands for Clarke! That's hurt Jones! Will he recover? Clarke fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Clarke!
Mark Clarke decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
