Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jim Lahey (ranked 1788 p4p, 1095 weight class) and Lennart Hohenthal (ranked 101 p4p, 63 weight class). Lennart Hohenthal has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The crowd cheers as Hohenthal lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lahey doesn't seem phased though.

Hohenthal lands with an uppercut that bounces Lahey off the cage and back into range.
Oh Lahey is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hohenthal looks to land a left hand but Lahey moved out of range nicely.

Lahey catches Hohenthal with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hohenthal has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Lahey throws a jab but it's blocked by Hohenthal.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hohenthal connects with a nice short shot to Lahey's temple.

Hohenthal looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lahey with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Hohenthal working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Hohenthal lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Lahey! More strikes land and this one is all over! Hohenthal jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

An out of breath Lennart Hohenthal thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
