Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Shield (ranked 24955 p4p, 4152 weight class) and Alexander Dragavich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dragavich has chosen Freeze Corleone feat. Ashe 22 - Cartier as his entrance music. Alexander Dragavich has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shield closes the distance and pushes Dragavich back into the cage.
Shield is trying to drag Dragavich to the mat but Dragavich just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Dragavich blocks an elbow strike from Shield.

Dragavich gets a trip takedown into half guard.

Dragavich lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dragavich connects with a nice short shot to Shield's temple.

It looks like James Shield has been cut.

Dragavich is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Shield defends it well.
Shield has hold of Dragavich's hands but Dragavich slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Shield is rocked!
Shield is breathing heavily.
Dragavich controlling the position here and throwing strikes from the top. Nice elbow lands there... and another... and another... oh, Shield is out! Dragavich gets to his feet and admires his work - nice finish!
