Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ed Ford (ranked 1227 p4p, 1272 weight class) and Karl Hermann (ranked 135 p4p, 144 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ford might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Trivium - Strife . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Ed Ford!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Karl Hermann!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hermann misses with a wild body shot.
Ford moves in looking to clinch but Hermann pushes him off.
Ford has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gunner's School of Combat in the buildup to the fight.
Hermann tries to land a leg kick but Ford saw it coming and moves away.
Hermann misses with a hook. Ford ducked under it nicely.
Hermann throws an off balance right hand
and Hermann takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ford with a nice calf kick.
Ford thuds a left hand into Hermann's body.
Hermann has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Hermann scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ford doesn't seem bothered though.
Hermann blocks a leg kick.
Nice body kick there by Ford.
Ford moves away from the strike by Hermann.
Hermann throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Good exchange - Ford coming out on top.
Some wild striking there from Ford.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ford throws a sloppy head kick and Hermann moves out of range easily.
Hermann throws out a counter right but Ford avoids it with no problem.
Hermann moves out of range of the leg kick from Ford.
Ford gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Hermann throws an off balance right hand
and Ford counters with a nice uppercut.
Hermann is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
A solid leg kick lands there for Hermann.
A punch combination from Hermann misses.
Ford cracks Hermann with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Ford has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Hermann to stand back up!
Hermann is still on wobbly legs! Can Ford finish him?
Ford throws an overhand right that drops Hermann like a sack of potatoes! Ford dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ed Ford!
Our winner, Ed Ford, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
