Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mordecai Ching Chong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Daley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ching Chong might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bruce Springsteen: Atlantic City. Daley comes into a darkened arena with his song building. I can't Dance-Phil Collins kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Mordecai Ching Chong could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Trevor Daley's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mordecai Ching Chong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trevor Daley!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daley fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Daley can't get the takedown.
Ching Chong is trying to break free.
Daley tries for a takedown but Ching Chong manages to get underhooks.
Mordecai Ching Chong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trevor Daley.
Daley keeps control of Ching Chong as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Ching Chong connects with a knee to the head.


It looks like Trevor Daley has been cut.
Ching Chong wants to break the clinch but can't.

Daley has clasped his hands together around Ching Chong's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Daley tries to clinch up but Ching Chong circles away and keeps his distance.
Ching Chong throws a hook but Daley blocks it.
Daley shoots for a double leg takedown but Ching Chong sprawls well. He's pushed Daley's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Daley moves into range and clinches up with Ching Chong.

Daley has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ching Chong avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Daley lands with a left to the head.
Ching Chong is trying to break free.
Ching Chong wants to get back to striking at distance but Daley won't allow it.

Daley jumps guard and drags Ching Chong to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Daley wants to stand up but Ching Chong is controlling him.
Daley looks gassed!

Daley kicks Ching Chong off and gets to his feet.
Mordecai Ching Chong is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Daley takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Daley takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Mordecai Ching Chong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ching Chong looks to land a right hand but Daley moved out of range.

and Daley counters by clinching up.

Ching Chong has had enough of the clinch but Daley keeps him there for the moment.

Ching Chong is looking to break free of the clinch but Daley has double underhooks.

Daley turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Daley manages to end up in side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Daley is trying to get an arm triangle but Ching Chong is defending well.

Daley goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Ching Chong has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Daley but great work by Ching Chong.

Ching Chong stands up and beckons Daley to his feet.
Ching Chong throws out a loose jab but Daley uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ching Chong throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

and Daley counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Ching Chong tries to kick Daley off but Daley keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Daley seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Ching Chong makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

and Daley counters with a takedown into side control.
Daley is looking to take a break and control but Ching Chong is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Daley in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Daley wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ching Chong, who protects the arm well.

Daley tries to stand but Ching Chong is controlling his head.

Ching Chong is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Daley asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Ching Chong goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Ching Chong breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Daley moves out of range of the body kick.

Daley feints and as Ching Chong raises his hands in defense, Daley changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Daley drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ching Chong dives on top into guard.
Ching Chong wants to stand but Daley has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Daley bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Ching Chong throws a nice looking combination but Daley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Daley holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Ching Chong wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Daley has him pressed against the ropes.
Ching Chong wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Daley scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Ching Chong pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Daley shoots in and bounces Ching Chong off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Daley drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ching Chong manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Daley has Ching Chong in his guard.

Daley looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Ching Chong passes into half guard.

Daley moves into full guard.

Ching Chong stands and steps away. Daley gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Ching Chong will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Daley misses with a takedown attempt - Ching Chong sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Daley avoids a kick to the body.
Ching Chong avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Daley rushes Ching Chong and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.

Daley wants the takedown. Ching Chong is fighting it off but Daley persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Ching Chong's guard against the ropes.

Daley has gone for a leg lock! Ching Chong slips out almost immediately though and dives into Daley's guard.

Trevor Daley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


A clash of legs there as Daley blocks the low kick.
Ching Chong lands a nice leg kick that just misses Daley's sensitive parts.
Ching Chong throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Daley feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Daley postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ching Chong is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Daley, into his guard.

Daley is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Ching Chong pulls his head out easily.

Ching Chong tries to stand and escape but Daley is controlling the position.

Daley kicks Ching Chong off and gets back to his feet.
Daley ducks under a wild hook from Ching Chong.

Daley gets a takedown into half guard.
Trevor Daley has got the better of the ground game so far.

Daley is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ching Chong is just riding it out for now. Daley eventually gives up the hold.
It looks like Daley is going to stand back up.

Daley is working for a submission of some sort.
Daley not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Daley is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Ching Chong manages to get to full guard.

Daley prevents Ching Chong from getting back to his feet.
Daley wanted to stand there but Ching Chong had control of the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Daley checks a low kick from Ching Chong.
Ching Chong lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ching Chong.

Daley wants to stand and escape but instead Ching Chong has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Daley has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ching Chong can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ching Chong has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Daley working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Ching Chong has passed into half guard!
Mordecai Ching Chong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ching Chong stops Daley from getting back to his feet.

I've got Daley winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
