And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 3 losses; Gaston Cahute!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Thumb closes the distance but Cahute moves to the side
and Cahute decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Thumb's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Thumb (0) vs (2) Cahute

Cahute felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
