The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Jameson controls Thumb momentarily but Thumb frees himself.
Thumb engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Thumb sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jameson's guard.
Thumb will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Thumb looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Jameson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Thumb's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Thumb's back!

Thumb seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Jameson keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Jameson is trying to maintain the position but Thumb is very close to passing his half guard.
Thumb is taking a breather. Jameson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Thumb is working for an americana but Jameson has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Thumb was thinking about the submission.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thumb's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Thumb wants to take his opponent's back but Jameson doesn't allow it.

Thumb controlling the position well here. Jameson rolled but Thumb kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Jameson tries to escape but Thumb has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Jameson defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Thumb's arms.
You can see the frustration on Jameson's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Thumb has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Thumb looking to break Jameson's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Jameson remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Thumb will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
